Welcome. Thanks for coming.

About me:

I currently serve as Interim Dean of Students at Purchase College, The State University of New York since August of 2003 and have served in several different positions in the Division of Student Affairs since 1996, including Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs.

I also serve as a member of the Regional Advisory Board for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). I serve as Information Technology Coordinator and webmaster for Region II of NASPA, serve on the Regional Conference Committee and sit on the Advisory Board.

In addition, I have served three years as elected President of the Purchase College Alumni Association, Inc. and chair the Board of Directors. (Are you a Purchase College Alumnus? By virtue of this position (until I became Interim Dean in August of 2003), I sat on the Purchase College Council, Purchase College's local Board of Trustees, as an ex-officio member representing the alumni of the College.

I also am currently a certified candidate for the Doctor of Education in Higher Education degree at Teachers College, Columbia University.

I received my Master of Education (Ed.M.) and Master of Arts (MA) Degrees, both in Higher Education with a specialization in Higher Education Administration, from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. After initially attending The University at Albany, SUNY (Fall, 1992) and The University at Stony Brook, SUNY (Spring and Summer 1993), I transferred to Purchase College, SUNY where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1996.

I grew up in the Riverdale section of the Bronx and went to Ardsley High School for high school.

I have always been involved in Student Activities. In high school, I was Vice President of the Student Council. For the Fall semester of 1992, at The University at Albany, SUNY, I was a member of the Central Council of the Student Association and represented Indian Quad. I was also a newscaster and DJ for WCDB-Albany (90.9 FM - The Capital District's Best). In the Spring of 1993, at The University at Stony Brook, SUNY I completed training to become a Disc Jockey for WUSB-FM. I became involved in the Students' Union at Purchase College, SUNY in the Fall of 1994 and eventually became Coordinator of Student Life and Services.

I have also have several different types of work experience. My first real job was as a Legislative Councilmanic Aide with the Hon. June M. Eisland, a member of The New York City Council. My second job was as an intern at 95.5 WPLJ-FM New York where I worked with then News Director Naomi DiClemente on the Scott & Todd Big Show and as an intern for the promotions department. Third was an internship with CBS News, a division of CBS, Inc.
